In the first Design Sprint Workshop of the Policy Accelerator for Climate Innovation 2023 on 12 and 13 June 2023 at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation EU in Brussels, we addressed the exciting topic "Green Hydrogen in Kazakhstan: Mapping Existing Barriers and Creating a Roadmap for a Hydrogen Partnership". With the help of a group of experts and well-known "challengers" from politics and business, including Andris Piebalgs, former Commissioner for Energy and Commissioner for Development, Nicholas Pomeroy, Founder & General Director, AngloKazakh, Dr. Saule Zholdayakova, Acting Director, KMG Engineering, and Luisa Kessler, Sustainable Hydrogen Economy Policy Advisor, Bellona Germany, we developed initial ideas for a cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union on the development of a green hydrogen economy.
